The Somiedo River is a river of Asturias, Spain. It has a length of 22 km. Born in the Asturian slope of the Port of Somiedo, in the homonymous municipality and flows into the town of Aguasmestas, on the border with the municipality of Belmonte de Miranda, pouring its waters into the river Pig羹e簽a, constituting, on the right, its main tributary. Along its route, receives water from small streams, with its major tributaries River Valley and the Saliencia river, both from the right. Along its route, has installed two infrastructures for the generation of electrical energy: hydroelectric Central de La Malva, and La Riera. In addition, since the latter part of the underground pipe that leads to the center of Miranda, located in the municipality of Belmonte de Miranda. Caunedo, G繳a and Pola de Somiedo are some of the most important populations that crosses the river Somiedo.
