Rock core with a vein of variscite, a green semi-precious mineral, found in the Neolithic Gava Mines, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Variscite was mined here between 4200 and 3400 BCE. It was used to make jewellery and was traded across the Western Mediterranean.
