Swallow-tailed gull in nuptial plumage sleeping beneath a lava rock outcrop in the middle of the day. Creagrus furcatus, formerly known as Larus furcatus. This Galapagos endemic is the world's only nocturnal gull. North Seymour Island, Galapagos Archipelago, Ecuador.
