Labour Party church service interrupted. Britain's Premier Harold Wilson pictured seated in a pew after ani-Vietnam War demonstrators shouted him down as he read the bible lesson at the Labour Party Church service in the Dorset Gardens Methodist Church , Brighton , Sussex on 2 October 1966 . next to Mr Wilson is his wife Mary, partly obscured by their son Giles , 17. On his other side is foreign secretary George Brown . Premier Wilson gave up trying to read the lesson when he could not be heard above the shouting and scuffling . He is currently in Brighton for the Labour Party Conference opening on 3 October .
