Fingerprint analysis. Forensic scientist comparing a fingerprint taken from the scene of a crime with that of the victim of the crime. Prints from the victim have to be excluded from the enquiry in order to concentrate on unknown fingerprints, which may belong to the suspect. Fingerprints are unique to every individual and can thus be used to determine whether a suspect was at a crime scene.
