F. Story Musgrave (born 1936), US astronaut, being suited up in preparation for his sixth flight into space on mission STS-80. Musgrave became an astronaut in 1967 and has flown on five shuttle missions: STS-6 (1983), STS-51-F (1985), STS-33 (1989), STS-44 (1991) and STS-61 (1993). With this sixth mission he tied John Young's record for the most number of spaceflights by any human being and at age 61, was the oldest person ever to fly in space. Space shuttle Columbia launched on 19th November 1996 and landed on 7th December 1996, making mission STS-80 the longest mission of the 20th century at 17 days, 15 hours and 53 minutes.
