A common or Burchell's zebra stands close to a Grevy's zebra in Northern Kenya, clearly showing the difference between the two species. The Grevy's zebra is the most-northerly representative of the zebra family, inhabiting dry bush country. It can be distinguished by its large frame, saucer-shaped ears and close-set stripes. It is listed by IUCN as an endangered species. .
