Ancient Peruvian burial. Archaeologist cleaning dirt from a skeleton of a young South American child buried with pottery offerings. These remains were found on the site of Ventarron, a 4,000 year-old temple unearthed in 2007 in the ancient city of Lambayeque, Peru. It is thought to be the oldest archaeological find in the Americas (as of 2010).
