Orchid flower (Dendrobium discolor). The main part of the flower is the long curled petals and sepals surrounding the central parts. The vine from which it is growing is seen in the background. This orchid is found in the tropical lowlands of both New Guinea and north-eastern Australia, where it grows on trees (epiphytic) and also grows on rocks (lithophytic).
