Guillaume Rondelet (1507-1566), French physician, surrounded by fish. Rondelet taught medicine in Montpellier, France. He also produced a book on the natural history of fishes, called Libri de Piscibus Marinis. Engraving from the 1875 edition of Vies des Savants Illustres.
