MODEL RELEASED. Dyslexia testing. Dyslexia, sometimes called word blindness, is a congenital or developmental disorder affecting a child's ability to read and write. It can create serious educational problems, but once identified can be treated effectively with specialist teaching. This girl is being assessed for dyslexia. A variety of tasks involving numbers, words and symbols are used to produce a 'profile', a unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses that is analysed by an educational psychologist.
