Before its confluence with the Ganges, the Jamuna receives the combined waters of the Baral, Atrai, and Hurasagar rivers on its right bank. Over 4 kilometres across, the Bangabandhu Bridge, across the river Jamuna, is an engineering marvel of the 20th century.
