Fossil Dinosaur eggshell. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the fossilised eggshell of Saltasaurus, a genus of titanosaurid sauropod dinosaur of the Late Cretaceous Period. The concave underside of the eggshell fragment (uppermost) has preserve bumps known as mammillae. The fracture edge (bottom left) has numerous pores running through it. Magnification:x 15 when printed at 10cm high.
