Satellite image of storm Abigail in the North Atlantic Ocean off the north-west coast of Ireland on the 12th November 2015. Abigail is expected to bring heavy rains, thunderstorms and winds with gusts up to 145 kilometres per hour to Ireland and Scotland. It will coincide with high tides on the evening of the 12th, making flooding likely. Imaged by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi-NPP) weather satellite.
