Spirogyra sp. (Gr. speira, coil & Gr. gyros, twisted) zygnematalean green alga filaments, showing two filaments, focused to the surface of one filament to show the chloroplasts in red auto-fluorescence. Spirogyra forms filaments composed of cells having spiral, ribbon-shaped chloroplasts. One cell wall show green fluorescence.
