MAZES - WISLEY LABYRINTH This ground-plan of the Wisley Labyrinth reveals it to be a fairly standard maze design, used in gardens and rock-carvings. It is probably mediaeval in origin, but unlike the majority of mediaeval mazes, this is one in which it is possible to lose oneself: it is therefore not merely a dancing pathway, which leads inexorably to a single centre.
