Beauce : Taking the Saint Xavier Fort before the siege of Puebla ( Mexico ) Napoleon III supported the Archduke of Austria who was proclaimed Emperor of Mexico. Later the French withdrew support and the fall of Puebla led to the downfall of the Emperor and he was shot.
