Flying Family hops off . The Hutchinson family of Richmond , Va , left Floyd Bennett Field , Brooklyn New York , on the first leg of a 4500 mile air trip to London which will take them across the North Atlantic . The big Sikorsky amphibian plane , " The Flying Family " , carried George Hutchinson , his wife , their two children , a radio operator , engineer , navigator and a motion picture cameraman . The first stop will be St John N B . Plane in the air after the take off . 23 August 1932
