PC attacked by four men in a car . Kicked after being knocked on ground in Edgware Road . A London police constable P C Green attached to the Paddington Green Station , was taken to St Mary ' s Hospital after being attacked by four bandits in a car . The constable was on duty in Edgware Road when he saw a man assaulting a woman . He interviewed and at the moment a big saloon motor car containing four men drew up at the kerb . The men got out of the car and then attacked him , knocking him down and kicking him . The constable blew his whistle but the four men ran away and drove off in the car .
