Scott ' s air circus comes to town for the Easter Holiday . Air minded londoners had their own holiday attraction brought almost to their ' doorstep ' when the air circus formerly owned by Sir Alan Cobham annd under the direction of Mr CWA Scott , winner of the London to Melbourne race , opened a short season at Mays Lane , New Barnet . Miss Aileen Marson , the film and stage actress opened the display by raising the Civil Aviation flag at the field . Photo shows , formation flying by the circus planes during the display led by Airspeed AS4 Ferry ( G - ABSI ) and at the rear can be seen the gyro copter . 12 April 1936
