After having explored Southampton docks for two days , Pedro the pigeon from Cuba , has now returned to the Canadian Pacific liner Empress of Australia on which he stowed away near Havana and was brought to Southampton . When he arrived at Southampton , Pedro deserted , only to return 48 hours later hungry , thirsty and weary of wandering .
