Leon Degrelle, at the polls. The poster reads "Down with the tools of Borms and Hitler. We are free people". August Borms, leader of the separatist Flemings, is associated with the Rexist party. During the War he was sentenced to death for plotting with Germany to set up a Fleming state but sentence was later commuted to 10 years imprisonment. 10 April 1937
