Women engineers discuss problems of aviation at their conference in London. Two highly technical problems to which the whole aircraft industry is applying itself, the formation of ice on aircraft in flight and the selection and treatment for steels for aero engines, are being dealt with in papers by Miss Dorothy Spicer and Miss Pauline Gower at the 15th annual conference of women's engineering which is open to Crosby Hall, Cheyne walk, Chelsea. President of the conference is Miss Amy Johnson ( Mrs Mollison), the air woman. Mrs Spicer, who holds the A and B, C and D ground engineers license will talk on aero engines photo shows, left to right, Miss Dorothy Spicer, Miss Amy Johnson (president) and Miss Pauline Gower at the conference. 25 September 1937.
