He has inspected the production lines of Handley Page Ltd. and has seen under construction Hermes (Britain's fastest airliner ordered for operation by B.O.A.C.) and Hastings (currently the largest military transport destined for service with the RAF). With Mr. Northrop is Sir Frederick Handley Page C.B.E., F.R.A.S President of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Managing Director of Handley Page Ltd. (right) and Mr. R.S. Stafford, Chief Designer, Handley Page Ltd.
