The regular Army of Algeria, under the command of Col. Hourai Boumedienne, ended in Triumph recently, a march on Algiers which they began nearly ten weeks ago, when Algeria became independent. More than 4,000 men of his newly-named People's national Army (ANP) paraded with their heavy armament through the streets of Algiers and stood at attention in the City's municipal sports stadium to hear a speech by Leader of political Bureau Mohammed Ben Bella. Mr Ben Bella told a crowd of 8,000 that "This Army has been deprived until now of its capital". He added that Algiers would be a "Demilitarised City" but that the National Popular Army would remain close at hand in the suburbs. Picture shows: Ben Bella (left) talking at Stadium to Col.
