Samuel Corbishley (30) is a cripple who is senior operator at the King's Theatre Southampton - he is in hospital at Southampton with serious burns as a result of his heroic efforts to quell a fire in the winding room of the cinema - he was re-winding a film after the performance when it suddenly blazed up and his clothes caught fire when he tried to extinguish the flames - although pulled back several times he repeatedly entered the burning room and attempted to quell the fire - his heir was burnt off and it is feared the sight of one yee may be affected - photo shows Samuel Corbishley December 28th 1934
