London ; A huge wooden spoon fascinates a youngster as it is carried into Downing Street for presentation at number 10, residence of Prime Minister Sir Anthony Eden . The odd gift is to emphasise the protest against the visit of Soviet leaders , Nikolai Bulganin and Nikita Khruschev being made by the League . The League recommends that the spoon be used at the dinner being given to the Russian visitors by Premier Eden on 19th April . A cross was also handed in by the League to Number 10 . It bore a card with the words , " in honourable and pitiful memory of the millions of victims of the Soviet regime " . 18 April 1956
