At Brighton, on behalf of the Ministry of Supply, Mr William Leonard, MP - Joint Parliamentary Sec of the Ministry, handed over the 10,000th aluminium house at a civic ceremony attended by the mayor and the Mayoress. The houses that are completely factory made are made from scrap metal from Lancaster bombers.
