From the Masasi district of Tanganyika to the blitzed Cathedral of Coventry has come this exquisitely carved crucifix and African ebony, the work of an 18-year-old native. The crucifix hangs on the west wall of the Chapel of Resurrection (once the cathedrals south porch) and overlooks the Christmas crib. Mr. E.P. Wyatt - a colonial civil servants, formerly of Stoneleigh, gifted the carving to the blitzed Cathedral. 19 December 1946
