There is now little hoped that the veteran battleship "Warspite" fast on the rocks in Prussia Cove on the Cornish coast, will ever be refloated. The 31,000 ton vessel, see here of 2 wars, broke her toes when on her way North from Portsmouth to the breakers yard. Now, holed bady by the bows, she rests on the jagged Cornish rocks, perhaps until time and the relentless pounding of the seas destroy her. 25 April 1947
