The girls of the fifth form at Clifton High School, Bristol, anxious to raise money for their newly formed endowment fund, have hit upon a novel form of private enterprise. During breaks and after school has finished, the girls don overalls and run a lucrative business cleaning and oiling school bicycles and cars. Bicycles are cleaned and overhauled for 1s 5d, painted for 5s. Cars are polished for 3s 6d, and the money is rolling in. 18 May 1947
