Baby Western Lowland Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla), an herbivore native to Western Africa. Gorillas are the largest of the primates. They share 97-98% of their DNA sequences with humans. They are our next closest relative after the chimpanzee. This baby gorilla appeared to be teething as it repeatedly gnawed on wood. Congo exhibit at the Bronx Zoo, New York.
