Banded tree anole, Anolis transversalis, female. One of the most unique features of this attractive lizard is its baby-blue eyes. Males are less distinctly banded than females. It is widespread throughout the Amazon Basin, preferring the habitat of primary forests. Photographed at the Madre Selva Biological Preserve, Loreto, Peru.
