Prat獺polis is a Brazilian municipality located in the southwest of the state of Minas Gerais. Its population as of 2007 was 8,653. The townsfolk gather to prepare the streets for the procession: Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament, a devotional ceremony, celebrated especially in the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church, but also in some Anglican, Lutheran and other churches, whereby a priest or a deacon blesses the congregation with the Eucharist at the end of a period of adoration.
