An 18th-century illustration showing the anatomy of the heart, including its coronary arteries. This artwork is from "Traite de la structure du coeur, de son action, et de ses maladies" (1749) by the French physician and anatomist Jean-Baptiste Senac (1693-1770). Senac carried out important advances in studies of the heart, including writings on heart disorders.
