The Gumbo limbo tree, Bursera simaruba. Gumbo limbo produces a resin called chibou, or cachibou, that is used to make glues, varnish and incense. The reddish exfoliating bark is caracteristic of this species, It is a member of the torchwood family (Burseraceae) and found in extreme southern FL, Mexico, and the West Indies.
