Accurate reconstruction of an Aegyptopithecus zeuxis skull based on original fossil casts, photographs and/or scientific measurements. Also known as a "Dawn Ape," A. zeuxis is an early primate that predates the divergence between hominoids (apes) and Old World monkeys. A. zeuxis lived between 35 and 33 million years ago and is an important link between early mammals and old world monkeys. The reconstruction is formed out of polyurethane resin which has a similar look and feel to real fossilized bone.
