Cerebral haemorrhage and aneurysm. Coloured computed tomography (CT) scan through the brain of a 49-year-old man who has bleeding in the brain affecting the meninges (brain membranes). This view shows an arrangement of blood vessels at the base of the brain called the Circle of Willis. The bleeding is from an aneurysm (swelling, pink, upper centre) of the anterior communicating artery.
