5052652 Demolition of no.2 St Barnabas\' Square, Douglas, Isle of Man, 1932-34 (b/w photo) by Frowde, John James (1868-1946); Manx National Heritage (Isle of Man); (add.info.: On the back of this photograph John James Frowde writes, "Demolition of No.2 St. Barnabas\' Square. The cellar entrance still in situ but too far back for any detail. In the following print, this is at closer range. The wall, with lamp, on left, is only a matter of some 33 feet from the nearest point of the Customs House wall, the opposite side of the Square. It was better described as Moore\'s Place prior to 1833 when S. Barnabas\' Church was consecrated, & when it began to be called a Square, with a contour like that under. [sketch]."); by Manx National Heritage .
