Climax of The Queen's Visit to Wales. Welsh women in national dress lead the chorus singing welcome to the Queen as she arrives at Caernarvon. Yesterday saw the climax of the the Queen's Coronation visit to Wales. The principal item in the day's ceremonies was the Queen's visit to Caernarvon Castle. In a pavilion erected in the stately court flanked by the great walls of this medieval Bastion, her majesty received many North Wales Dignitaries. July 11, 1953. (Photo by Paul Popper).
