Josefa Tikoinamuamua - (Front-row forward) -- Josefa Tiko, as he is generally called, is working as a turner in the Fiji Gold Mines at Vatukoula. He weighs 14st. 71bs and is 5ft. 10ins tall. He is 25 years old and was a member of Fiji's First Battalion which fought in the Solomons during the war. He represented the Northern Districts against the Maoris in 1948. He is anxious to meet some miners and to see the Bridge, the Zoo and the City of Sydney. June 27, 1952.
