In New Hat And Uniform The Princess Rides To Trooping Ceremony- Wearing her resplendent uniform of Colonel-in-chief Grenadier Guards, Princess Elizabeth, mounted on Winston, a chestnut police horse, rides to horse guards parade to take the salute at the Trooping the Colour ceremony on behalf of the King. The ceremony marks the King's official birthday. Outstanding feature of the uniform the Princess is wearing is the miniature bearskin she is wearing which was specially designed for the occasion. A white cockade shoots out from the bursting bomb symbol of the Grenadiers. June 7, 1951.
