VOTIVE VESSEL HSUN GWET.
Myanmar/Burma. Late 19th/early 20th c.

Bamboo; lacquered black with fine red edges; inside painted red. The vessel in squat form on six short feet consists of five parts; including an interior tray and a removable lidded box on the lid. Height 30cm; ?32.5cm. Underneath the largest vessel and underneath the inner tablets an inscription with an owner's or manufacturer's name inside a mythological animal in incised yun lacquer with gold. Conditon A/B.
