The whole is held by two griffins (averted on the flight side); and is placed on a trophy of banners; guns; etc .; behind the crown a green grove; behind which sun rays and a cloud cover. In the foreground lies a cross-shaped order mark diagonally on the flight side. Paradekant: instead of the coat of arms of Baden the coat of arms of the Republic. The oval band around it is blue with golden classical capitals on it: CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT; covered by a crown with three beaded braces and a red cap. A walking lion on either side.
