Saint Mammes (Saint-Mammes; St-Mammes) martyr - According to the legend; Mammes (or Mamans) of Cesaree; whose name means ?????the one who was breastfed?????would not be within a modest family of Cappadocia (in Asia Minor; present-day Turkey) in 259 and his martyrdom would have occurred in 275 at the age of fifteen or sixteen years. He fed on the milk of the deer and the goats from which he made cheese. He tame the beasts that respected him and lived familiar among them.
