Light micrograph of thyroid follicles in Graves disease. One of the features of Graves thyroid disease is the presence of scalloping along the edges of the colloid within thyroid follicles (pink polygonal structures). The scalloping refers to the cleared out small bubble-like spaces (white) at the edges of the thyroid follicles. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 200x when printed at 10 centimetres.
