Light micrograph of a Hassall?™s corpuscle. Hassall?™s corpuscles are structures found within the thymus gland. They are made up of cells with keratin substance (bright pink) and have roughly round or whorled configurations. Surrounding them are lymphoid cells of the thymus (many small blue dots). Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 400x when printed at 10 centimetres.
