Indian Cabin on the Elise Chapin Wildlife Sanctuary, Chattanooga, Tennessee - Home of Spring Frog (Too-an-Tuh) Cherokee Chief and Naturalist. The cabin was built by Indians about the year 1748. It was the old home of Spring Frog, Cherokee naturalist and sportsman. He was born in 1754. It is claimed to be the only cabin left in Tennessee built by Indians and stands on the Elise Chapin Wildlife Sanctuary, operated by the Chattanooga Audubon Society. It may be reached by Atlanta Highway U.S.41, or the east Brainerd Road.
