Christmas lights on the Champs Elysees, Paris. The Champs Elysees is one of the most famous of roads in Paris, running between the Place de l'Etoile and the Place de la Concorde in the west of the city. The main feature of the Place de l'Etoile is the huge Arc de Triomphe, seen here in the centre of the frame. This magnificent monument was constructed to commemorate the victories of Napoleon Bonaparte. It is 49 metres high and 45 metres wide.
