'The Order of Wilhelm of the Netherlands'. The Military Order of William was established in 1815 by King William I (1772-1843). The badge of the order is a gold and white Maltese cross surmounted by a royal crown. The Order's motto 'Voor Moed, Beleid en Trouw' (For Bravery, Leadership and Loyalty) is inscripted on the branches of the cross. The ribbon is orange and blue.
